Elephant - Giant but Innocent



Every kid knows about Elephants. So let's know about everything about mammals.


Their Structure and its uses:


Elephants are the largest animals of the land its have large ears, feet, and teeth

Elephants' teeth are called TUSKS. They use them to fighting, peeling trees skins, and show their dominance. and the other organ is TRUNK everyone knows elephants for their trunk. It is the boneless Organ. It is very essential for elephants, it is the other hand, nose even ear. And other is its ear their ears can be 6 feet top from the bottom it helps them to cool them.



How many species of Elephants:



There are only two types of elephants in the world no: 

  1. The Asian Elephant 
  2. The African Elephants.


    

Where they live :


75 % of kids think that elephants can live in the whole world but elephants live in just two places. African elephants live in just African countries and Asian elephants live in Indian tropical places. You can also see elephants at Zoos and Circuses.


Different between Asian and African Elephants:



If we talk about Asia and African elephants Differences what things in our mind comes first.  Asian elephants it smaller than their African relatives. African elephant's tusks are bigger than Asian elephants.


Gender and Stages :





 A male Elephant is called a BULL and a female Elephant called COW. A baby elephant is called CALF. A bull can be 15,000 pounds heavy and a cow can be 12,000 pounds. A full-grown African elephant maybe stands 13 feet and cows are smaller.


Speed:


Elephants walk at an average speed of 5 miles per hour. Even though they are very large animals, they can run at speed of about 35 miles per hour for short distances.  When elephants are moving quickly across dry Savannas they make a lot of dust. 

 

Surprising facts about Elephants:


Many people are surprised to learn that elephants walk on tiptoes. An elephant,s trunk contains 15,00 macules it's more than a human. A cow can be pregnant for two years! . Like our fingerprint elephants' ears have also prints and all ear prints are not the same similarly like our right is used more elephants' rights tusks use more too!.


How can we save Elephants' life: 



Elephants tusks and skins are too expensive in the black market. So hunters kill them and they are also endangered by Pollution and losing their habitat and water. We should stop hunters, reduce pollution, grow plants stop water wasting to provide them good habitat and life.
